Laughing here Janet, because when I was married and I had a dinner party, like you, I’d prepare some foods ahead of time and put them on the buffet, covered in plastic.

I wasn’t as kind and generous as you however, and so my husband used to say, as we all sat down to dinner, “Thank goodness you got here, now I can taste some of this food.”

Well, you’ve got me all fired up! I followed a link from Karyn Climans who recommended you. I value her opinion so I decided to take a look. I agree with what you say and I really like your writing style. This week I told my close friend I was going to hire a life coach. Let’s see where this goes!

You know Janet, I used to think that the advent of feminism in the 70s cleared up or at least alleviated many of the gender biases against u.

I realize now how wrong I was and it saddens me and makes me angry.

Have you watched Miss Representation? I watched it a couple of days ago and I was shocked at how little we accomplished in the 70s, given the truths of this movie.

Janet, we need to get back to fixing this ans we need to start with our daughters and granddaughters.

I belong to a women’s entrepreneur group. It’s a small group and we try to meet once a month. All of us own our own businesses – none of the businesses are similar so there’s never any competition. In fact, we support each other and look for ways to cross-promote.
We make sure the lunches/meetings are fun and there’s always a glass of wine or two enjoyed. I think the important thing about this group is that although we are all running totally different businesses, we are all intelligent, savvy and hard working women. Perfect combination!

What an incredible woman! She is one of three women who won the Nobel Peace Prize this year.

To this day, my daughters won’t eat cranberry sauce. But I persevere as always and eat it myself in spite of them. I always have lots left over!
Maybe I’m not as flexible as you Janet, about making new traditions!
